Utica Dental Laboratory offers three options in Zirconia:
KATANA® ZIRCONIA CROWNS
STRENGTH AND DURABILITY MEET DIGITAL ACCURACY
Zirconia is both indestructible and durable. These are the qualities which make it ideal for your fixed crown procedures.
ADVANTAGES OF A ZIRCONIA CROWN
- STRENGTH: Zirconia crowns will outlast all other types of crown (this is the same material used in hip and knee replacement procedures).
- APPEARANCE: Crowns made with Katana Zirconia ML also happen to offer translucency solutions comparable to any other alternative on the market.
- MINIMAL INVASIVENESS: Less preparation and impact to site means more of the original tooth is preserved.

BruxZir® Solid Zirconia
What is BruxZir® Solid Zirconia?
BruxZir Solid Zirconia is the #1 prescribed brand of full-contour zirconia in North America. Providing a stronger and more durable cementable solution, BruxZir restorations can be used in almost any clinical situation and are an esthetic alternative to cast gold and metal occlusal PFMs.
BruxZir® Solid Zirconia is a monolithic zirconia crown, bridge, screw-retained implant crown, full-arch fixed implant solution, inlay or onlay with no porcelain overlay. First launched as being "More Brawn Than Beauty," the material was originally intended to provide a durable, more esthetic alternative to posterior metal occlusal PFMs or cast gold restorations for demanding situations like bruxers, implant restorations and areas with limited occlusal space. Now, thanks to the new BruxZir Shaded formulation, BruxZir restorations exhibit improved translucency and color similar to natural dentition, making them a restorative option in the anterior as well. Complete color penetration all the way through the restorations ensures greater shade consistency and prevents any shade changes after occlusal adjustment.

IPS e.max Zirconium Oxide
The state-of-the-art, robust zirconium oxide ceramic IPS e.max ZirCAD is the material of choice when high mechanical strength, minimal restoration thicknesses, impressive esthetics and good biocompatibility are required. IPS e.max ZirCAD combines all these qualities and sets new standards.
Thin restoration walls possible
Due to the material’s high strength of 850 and 1,200 MPa1 as well as its high fracture toughness the wall thickness of restorations can be significantly reduced. As a result, tooth-conserving preparation and conventional cementation are possible. You will benefit from a perfect balance between thin restoration walls and optimum translucency. IPS e.max ZirCAD offers you maximum flexibility in the anterior and posterior region. The restorations can be glazed, stained or veneered: Your dental laboratory will finish the IPS e.max ZirCAD restorations according to the specific requirements of the individual patient.
With optional colour transition
IPS e.max ZirCAD is also available in polychromatic form. An advanced composition of raw materials is responsible for the improved mechanical properties (850 MPa1) of the material. It allows anterior restorations showing lifelike transitions of colour and translucency to be fabricated, which benefit from the stability provided by a monolithic structure. IPS e.max ZirCAD MT Multi imparts maximum esthetics to monolithic crowns and bridges without the need for a veneering ceramic.
